Green transition

At I Bergmann A/S, we work purposefully and continuously to reduce the company's CO2 footprint. It is therefore with some pride that we can announce that in the spring of 2023 we have installed a 97 kWh solar cell system, which we put into use at the end of April of the same year.

It is expected that this plant will produce just under half of the electricity that I Bergmann A/S consumes on an annual basis. This gives an estimated saving of 33 tons of CO2.

Mazak VCN 430A

New Mazak VCN 430A with associated robot is installed in spring 2022.

New full 5-axis Mazak Variaxis C-600 with associated robot is installed in summer 2023.

I Bergmann A/S has purchased 1 pc. robot cell, which consists of 1 pc. Mazak 3-axis milling machine, 1 pc. Mazak 5 axis milling machine and 1 pc. Kuka robot. This is another fully automatic plant,

that will be able to produce complicated but also simple components 24 hours a day. The plant has an ETA of mid-January 2022, which will increase our capacity considerably.​

CITIZEN 32X LFV

In May 2019, a new Citizen Swiss-Type lathe with associated bar loader will be implemented at I Bergmann A/S. The lathe is equipped with the brand-new technology in turning, called LFV (Low Frequency Vibration), which ensures that the chip is broken, in the case of longitudinally chipped material.

This ensures uniform and continuous production, where chips do not accumulate in the machining area of the machine and at the chip conveyor when the chips are removed.

Clinical degreasing of subjects

At Bergmann A/S, at the beginning of 2018, R•E•K has implemented washing systems that, using alcohol, can degrease items or components so that they are ready for clinical use. The washing programs at the facility can be prepared especially for the individual tasks.

Likewise, via the washing programs, vacuum can be added as needed to get oil out of any deep holes in the item.

Chip sling: - environmental angle

Bergmann A/S works continuously on targeted environmental improvements. In this connection, I Bergmann implemented an EDY OIL 50 chip slinger in early 2018 for optimal recycling of the oil that would otherwise be sent together with the chips for recycling.

The chip slinger is of course purchased with a view to protecting the environment, but also to avoid unnecessary purchases of cutting oil. Bergmann A/S has thus saved the purchase of the equivalent of 1,400 liters of pure cutting oil on an annual basis.

MAZAK 4000 m robot

At the end of 2018, Bergmann A/S implemented a new milling machine with an associated robot. There is also a supply conveyor belt and a deposition conveyor belt. There is an automatic check for broken cutting tools for each cycle and thus the plant can run fully automatically.

The robot changes or turns workpieces and/or vices as needed, just as it continuously changes grippers depending on the task. Furthermore, the robot ensures the cleaning of all workpieces/vices before clamping/setting up.
